OUR STORY

James has been trying to open a bookshop for about a decade now. In late 2019 he had the funds saved and was looking at a space (the former Coffee Loft) in Sarasota, FL. Then that building flooded and was torn down. Then in 2020, the pandemic and relying on unemployment wiped out those would-be starter funds. And then New College of Florida was politically captured and the appeal of opening a radical bookshop in Sarasota lost its appeal.
Fast forward six years. He moved to Las Vegas, worked in scrap metal for a while before disaster struck and we had to liquidate. Then he went back to tending Bar and managing in the restaurant business. And now at 41 it really feels like it is time to try this even if he doesn't have the funds to open up a space with all the bells and whistles he'd want it to have.
In 2022 James and Stefany started dating and now they operate this library store project together.
The office space for processing books to be sold online and to offer shopping/browsing by appointment is secured. A new storage space is secured. This website is inbecoming and will always have new things added.
